Caracal Lodge is home to seven uniquely designed self-catering luxury cottages and lodges. Donald and Karen have gone to exceptional lengths to ensure pure luxury in a relaxed bush environment. The attention to detail from the décor to the outdoor areas has been carefully thought out to guarantee individually to each unit.
Our bush lodges are a short distance from the main farmhouse. They are very secluded for a couple’s ultimate privacy on romantic weekends or for an individual just looking for some time out in the bush. The lodges have no electricity (Led lighting, gas stove, gas geyser, gas fridge/ freezer) adding to the ‘In the bush feel’. There are three self-catering lodges available with two of them having their own “Cuddle Puddle “. All the cottages have private outside braai areas.
Our luxury cottages are situated within walking distance to the main house and the Rooikat se’ Gat pub. Our pristinely kept cottages offer a ‘home from home’ feel.
Kudu and Nyala 2 bedrooms each are located near the main entrance with views of our magical well-maintained indigenous gardens and pond where our ducks and geese wander freely. Each cottage has two bedrooms with open plan lounge leading onto a covered verandah, fully equipped open plan kitchen (Gas stove, microwave, fridge) full bathroom and outside shower. There is DSTV with limited channels) and each cottage has their own private braai boma areas.
Bushbuck and Impala 2 bedrooms each - These two cottages have an interleading door for larger families. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms and there is an outside shower in each cottage. The lounge area opens onto a large deck with beautiful views where our Giraffe, Impala, Nyala and Zebra are a common sight from the deck as you watch the sun go down. You can either braai on the deck or each cottage has their own private braai boma areas in the garden. All cottages are fully equipped and serviced daily.
We have just finished renovations on our old farmhouse and outside rooms – this is a self-catering facility for large groups.
Farm Stay boast the main farmhouse with four bedrooms, four showers and three toilets. A generous fully equipped kitchen has a large fridge, gas stove/electric oven, microwave and large freezer. There is a stylish lounge/dining area that opens to the braai area (three large braai’s) with spectacular views overlooking Rooikrans (Red Rock Cliffs). There are four outside rooms each with their own shower’s, basin and toilets.
Caracal Farm Stay is aimed at large (family) groups who don’t mind sharing rooms 28 beds in total. Ideal for Runners, Cyclist’s, Church groups, School outings, Backpackers etc.
All guests will have access to our beautiful Caracal Lodge hikes, game viewing, 4x4 mountain routes and Rooikat se Gat.
